Jesus' Code of Conduct

How can Jesus' family be safe? (Luke 8:19-21)

Lots of groups have codes of conduct to keep their space safe. Similarly, Jesus has a code of conduct for his followers so that his family can be a safe place. The Bible says that Jesus will not break a crushed reed, and so its important that we his people follow his code and treat hurting people well. This sermon is based on Luke 8:19-21

Luke 8:19–21 (NIV)

19 Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. 20 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.”

21 He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”
