Pray for More Workers for Roehampton

A sermon on Luke 10:1-2

For the last few months we've been wondering as a church if we can continue. The needs of our council estate have got larger, whilst our resources have got smaller. We have finally come to the place where its clear that its time to close the church. This sermon was preached a few weeks prior to this. In hindsight, this sermon is a helpful confirmation that it's time to close. We do not have enough workers to safely and sufficiently help the vulnerable people we love.

We still pray that God would send more workers to Roehampton.

The Bible passage of this sermon is below:

Luke 10:1–2 (NIV) 1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
