Reading it, Ephesians 5:25 kept clanging in my head - as you've rightly pointed out, Doug Wilson's comments are the complete opposite of what Jesus did and would have us do as his followers. Jesus does not bully, bash or violate the Church - He is kind, compassionate, truthful, protective and sacrificial.
